Potential New SSG Base

Introduction

As explained in the previous article, a new naturally lit base family was recently found by Ma Ehy. It is the closest to 0 0 ever found, but the chances of a seed being lit are quite low. Thanks to the fact that altar chests change across seeds, and that in 1.19 the stronghold is at Y18 instead of -18 (found by Verdant and confirmed by Reve), this seed has serious potential of being a new SSG seed. Below is the newly discovered knowledge, and where to go next.

Versions

The village-influenced portal RNG behavior exists across the Bedrock 1.19-1.21.114 era, which is expecially good since we now have many shots to find potentially better seeds than furnace across, specifically, 4 different versions:

• 1.18.30 - 1.19.22: same spawn and lits as 1.21.2, but higher strongholds Y.
• 1.19.30 - 1.21.31: more common to be lit, but less likely to spawn at good coords. Same eye count as 1.19
• 1.21.40 - 1.21.51: independent lit portals, spawns like previous versions, unknown lit chance
• 1.21.60 - 1.21.114: better spawns on average, less likely for the portal to be lit, independent lit portals.

Discoveries

Currently, a list of all spawns + taiga village (the village type that has potential lit portal) was compiled for both pre and after 1.21.60 by Ma Ehy. Only a small % of seeds were checked on both versions, but even so, some decently good seeds were found already, making this at least the #2 fastest base ever found, with potential to be #1.

Out of the fairly limited current search, the best seed found was -7081122403845695246 by Verdanttttt. This seed is already much better than cat seed, while being very far from the absolute potential of this base, as can be seed in this example run.

Need for Help

The remaining search requires generating and checking over a milion worlds with BDSes. Good multi-core PCs can materially speed up the work by running several isolated instances in parallel.
